Due to the 4th of July holiday falling on a Wednesday, my mind is completely thrown off today! It felt like a Saturday yesterday so it was especially difficult to get up this morning at 5:30am. I'm still hurtin' now and want nothing more than to sleep for 2 hours....at least.
My 4th was a good one this year. All things considered, it was a beautiful day spent with family and friends. Gerric and I lounged around in our jammies until noonish. Then we got ready and headed over to my sister's house for a BBQ. What was on the menu? Steaks, potato salad, rice, fresh cut fruit and ice cream and fruit ambrosia for dessert. Delicious!!! That means I'll need to work out extra hard today at my parents house.
After my sister's, he made our way to my sister-in-law's house for our 2nd BBQ of the day. I managed to still eat 2 (yes, 2!) hot dogs. After all, I couldn't be rude and NOT eat! Later that night, we drove about 3 minutes and saw the firework show put on in our neighborhood every year by the Los Alamitos Army Airfield. We had a great time. We called it a night after that. The good news: 4th of July falls on a Friday next year. :)

Aww--- =( sorry that was bad of me. I should have told you guys about it, but I guess I just assumed you would be spending it with your fam and I didn't want to get turned down...yes it affects me when i get turned down =(. I'm sensitive like that hahaha. The weird thing is that I only evited invited half the ppl, I was thinking of keeping small so I could manage it, but ppl asking us if we are having something that the day before and showed up.
Sounds fun! I'm so happy for your sister and her husband! It makes me smile to think about...
