2 YEARS AGO TODAY...

...I married
my best friend,
my soulmate,
my partner,
my rock...

...my everything

Happy Anniversary honey. I love you more today than the day I married you. Thank you for making me so happy the past 7 (almost 8) years we've been together. You are truly my everything. I love you.

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our anniversary. On Friday night, we threw all diets out the door and ordered pizza from Valentino's. It was a great way to start the weekend.

On Saturday, my niece and I went to go get facials at Raya Spa in Beverly Hills. That afternoon, Gerric and I went to a birthday party for little Patrick who turned 7 years old. His parents rented a petting zoo for the occasion and we all had a chance to meet Emmy.

There were other animals too and we a great time meeting them all. :) Gerric and I left a little early to go get ready for our anniversary dinner at Geisha House in Hollywood. I've been wanting to go here for a long time and my husband made that wish come true.

Before we got ready for dinner, my husband asked if I wanted my gift then. I wasn't even thinking about getting a gift that night since our anniversay is actually today. So I was really excited!!! He brought down a gift bag and forewarned me that it wasn't "anything big."
I opened it and found this:

Season 2 of Beverly Hills, 90210! I was a HUGE fan when the show first came out. I didn't stay loyal and stopped watching once Brandon Walsh left the show but this was a nice surprise. I noticed there was still a lot of tissue in the bag so I took it out to reveal a note that read:

"This isn't everything. This is only a tease. Where can you find the rest of your gift? Ask the Mooshoo bees!"

I knew exactly what that meant. I keep some stuffed animals that mean a lot to me in the corner of our bedroom and two of them are "Mooshoo bees," one given to me by my mother and the other by my husband. So I ran upstairs like a 5 year old and found this:

When I opened the bag, I found a small box and I knew what it was. I've been wanting an aquamarine ring for SOOO long. That's my birthstone and I love the color of it. I truly wasn't expecting to get it until our 5 year anniversary or something! So just like I did when I first saw my engagement ring and Gerric on one knee, when I saw this, I started crying. I got my ring...and I loved everything about it. It was perfect.

He told me he's had it safely locked at work for weeks and couldn't wait to give it to me. I was so excited! It's beautiful!!!

Geisha House did not disappoint - we enjoyed everything about it. The food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect. We had a great table and it was a perfect way to celebrate 2 years of wedded bliss.

My husband went with sushi that night and chose the "Frightened Geisha." I went with the filet which was superb. For dessert, he had the Molten Lava cake and I had the crispy wontons which were absolutely amazing. I'm still craving them now!

On Sunday, I picked up my mom and we went to the cemetary. After that, I got a workout in at their house. When I went home, Gerric and I laid around the rest of the day. We finally decided to get ready and went out to The Pike in Long Beach. We ended up just eating at Chili's. We strolled around for a bit and headed home. It was a wonderful weekend. I can't wait to give Gerric his gift tonight!

Here's to many, many more years of marriage.
