JUMPING BACK INTO THE BLOGOSPHERE

Whew! What a week! I have been crazy busy with work lately...coming in early, leaving late. It hasn't been fun but I'm hoping and praying that it will have all been worth it in the end.

We had our "Welcome Baby Adam" celebration last Saturday and we had a great time. My dear girlfriend Kay joined us and she took some pictures herself....thank you Kay! :) I wanted to work on some projects and enlisted Kay to take one on herself. As you all know, she's a little Martha Stewart so I knew this would be so easy for her. I asked her to make me some chocolate wrappers, especially designed for Adam. They turned out amazing! I couldn't have been happier with them. Guests at the shower were telling me that Kay could start a business with the things she creates. I couldn't agree more. They were perfect...

I also ordered some adorable favors from My Baby Shower Favors and some personalized favor tags on Ebay. I was going for the "From our Shower to yours" theme and found some adorable bath confetti tins. I paid extra for "Overnight Shipping" to ensure I received them the Friday before the shower. Friday came and I received nothing. I e-mailed them and they assured me that they were sent out on time with expedited shipping. I called the Post Office on Friday night and they told me they didn't have anything. I was so diappointed thinking I wasn't going to have anything to accompany the adorable chocolates. I was relentless and called the Post Office early Saturday morning, the day of the shower. Luckily, they had arrived! So off I went to Downtown LA (30 miles one way from where I live) to pick up the package. They were so cute and well worth the drive. I also got refunded for the shipping so it all worked out!

The celebrant after his party...

He's so darn cute! Well, maybe I'm just biased. :)

On Sunday night, since we were home dreading the beginning of another work week (and what a week it was!), I decided to finally try out the Sprinkles cupcake mix that my girlfriend Ruby had given to me as a gift. She always knows what I would love. :) I baked the Dark Chocolate flavor and they came out delicious...if I do say so myself. I'm sure it's no real Sprinkles cupcake but they were yummy! Thank you Ruby! I still have two more flavors to bake...we'll see how those turn out!

I'm so happy it's Friday. Like I said, this week has been a very stressful one for me. Things haven't gotten any better but after a very good client meeting yesterday, I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Tomorrow it my nephew Diego's birthday. It would have been his very 1st birthday. To celebrate this very special day, we are having a Balloon release for him at the cemetary at approximately 3:03 pm...the time he was born. I will post more about it next week.

On Sunday, we have another special birthday party to attend and I'll post the details next week too. Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for catching up!

Wow, you all did such a great job on the shower!!! I LOVE the colours... oh and the cake is adorable. Ok, you have to stop putting such awesome look desserts on your blog, I'm getting tempted! I hope the balloon release for Diego went well... I'm sure he's looking over his little brother now :)
