ANNIVERSARY UPDATE AND WEEKEND UPDATE

Thank you so much for your anniversary wishes! It ended up being such a nice evening - with the exception of me being sick.

I could never complain that my husband is not a romantic. On the contrary, sometimes I feel as though I don't deserve him! When I got home from work that evening, my dear husband had gone all out. There were candles lit all throughout the house, our wedding song was playing and another beautiful bouquet of flowers were waiting for me, along with the one DVD I've been waiting to own since I first heard this was coming out. The dinner table was all set, dinner was ready to be served, champagne was being chilled in the fridge and our wedding DVD was set to be played on our TV. It was the sweetest, most romantic sight. I was truly speechless. So what do I do? I barely picked at my food and went to lay on the couch - talk about ruining a moment. I had the beginning symptoms of a cold and my body was not having it that night. I tried - I truly tried but it was calling for rest. Gerric was very understanding but I couldn't help but feel so bad for all the trouble he went through. I am truly spoiled.

This past Saturday, we had the honor of helping to celebrate our friend's twins' 1st birthday. As soon as I received the invitation, I knew this was one party I couldn't miss. And she did not disappoint. She could truly give Martha Stewart a run for her money! The painted pillows with the girls' initials were my favorite - yes, she painted them! It was a party that I will use as inspiration for my own daughter's birthday someday. All the details were so adorable!

Happy 1st Birthday Chloe and Sophia!

This week has been tough. I've been fighting this awful cold since last week. Because of that, I have yet to meet Kay's baby and I'm so anxious! I want to make sure I'm completely healthy before I meet her. Aside from this cold, I've been having some pain in my pelvic area. It's gotten worse each day! When I went to go see the GI doctor on Friday, I mentioned this to him and he ordered to have a pelvic ultrasound done so I'm hoping it's nothing - I'm having that done this Friday. Work has been crazy and I leave for a business trip to Panama at the end of the month. I'll even be missing our first Halloween here at our house. I'm really sad about that but nothing I can do.

Other than that, just trying to stay out of this heat - what's up with this weather lately?!? It feels like we're in the middle of summer! Hope to start getting some cooler weather soon!

BTW- I had an ultrasound done a few months ago for the same reason, a pelvic pain. Let me know what they tell you. Love you! (my first comment)

I hope you feel better... feeling crappy is a total bummer.
