Surgery = Success
After a very long day at the hospital (nearly 12 hours to be exact), my Dad's surgery went well. He ended up having a quintuple bypass and the nurse told us we are just extremely lucky that my Dad did not suffer a heart attack before this was found. We only got to see him today for no more than 5 minutes in the ICU...it's SO INCREDIBLY difficult to see someone you love in this state....especially when this person is my father who is SO strong. I slammed the car door on my Dad's hand a few years ago and I don't think he ever flinched. :( So seeing him under anesthesia and with a breathing tube just consumed me and the tears took over. I can't wait to see him tomorrow. Please continue to pray for a fast and smooth recovery. I am SO proud of my Dad.

Hooray! Great news. I hope he's out of the hospital soon and that his recovery is speedy.
Hey Jolene,
I'm so sorry to hear your dad had to go through open heart surgery! That is so scary :( It's fantastic that everything went well... I hope he is getting better and stronger by the day... hang in there... I'm thinking of you and your family! xxx
Wow! I didn't know you still kept your blog. Reading this brought tears to my eyes...Glad that Dad has been back to work since May and doing well:) We've had a rough few months at the beginning of the year but hopefully it will end better with a fresh new start in 2011!
Luv ya...
Emma
