Camila: 8 Months

To my sweet, little Camila,

You turned 8 months old on the 6th. And yesterday morning, Mom called me at work to tell me you had gotten your 1st tooth! Such a big day in your life...my baby is growing up. It's so funny to think that your sister already had 8 teeth by this time and you just got your 1st one...goes to show how different you both are in some ways. We already know you are louder and crazier. In fact, I call you my little maniac. You do things that Abbie never did as a baby and I love that you are so different in that way. You definitely keep mommy and daddy on their toes. We can't leave you alone in your bouncer anymore because you bounce in it so hard that you flip yourself forward! I tell you...maniac! You are crazy but SO much fun. I love this age Cami. I want to freeze time forever but I know I can't...before you know it, you'll be as talkative as Abigail but that means conversations between you both and OH MY GAWD, I CAN'T TAKE IT! So cute!

This past month, you have done so much:

 - You are now eating your solids like a champ. Your favorites seem to be pears and apples.

- We took you to the beach for the 1st time. We joined the family at San Onofre Beach on July 3rd to celebrate the long Independance Day weekend. You and your sister had a BLAST!

- We took you to your 1st Firework show. You still seem to get startled easily so your headphones came in handy! You didn't hear a thing and slept through it all.
 - We got your hair trimmed. You basically had a little tail going on and it had to be cut. You'll thank me later. Of course I have it saved forever.

 - We took you to Disneyland for the 1st time. We had so much fun!
 - We went strawberry picking at Tanaka Farms.
 - You started scooting/crawling. Watch out, world! Here comes Camila!
 - You love going to Mom and Abuelo's house. You adore them and are just as close to them as Abbie is.
 - Daddy had his very 1st Father's Day with 2 girls! What a wonderful day it was! Well, with the exception of our LONG, not-so-good dinner at Shaka's.
We will be baptizing you in a little less than 2 weeks. I can't wait for your special day. We are honored that your Auntie Jane and Uncle John will be your Godparents. You are going to be surrounded by so much love that day my little angel.
We are having so much fun with you my sweet baby girl. I love re-living these milestones with you. I get just as excited and just as happy as I did the first time around. We are incredibly proud of you. I can't wait to see what the next month will bring. We adore you and love you to pieces my little Eloise!
