MY OBSESSION WITH A PUPPY
I never thought I would be one of those dog lovers that kept pictures of their beloved pets on their cell phone or on their desktop and wanted to document everything new they did on camera. I have officially become one of those people. The sad part is, it's not even MY pet. I'm referring to Leila...yes Leila, not Layla as I previously spelled. Blame my sister for wanting a different spelling. Their little puppy is the cutest thing and my sister has gone as much as to admit that she's become attached to this 4-legged creature. I think she's also been a little therapeutic for Henry which is the best part of all. The following are one too many updated pictures of Leila, taken this past weekend:

So yes, I am in love. And I think she's fallen in love with her family. :)

Although it's not something we need to feed, Gerric and I also have a new addition to our place...we finally bought some new couches! We love them. In fact, since Saturday when they were delivered, we've sat in them for about 2 minutes total since we don't want to ruin them! haha! Here are our precious new couches:

Aren't they pretty?!?
Henry has been going to his radiation treatments for one week today. He's also been on chemotherapy for one week. So far, so good I think. He's still tired a lot and visually, it looks like he's lost some weight but thankfully, he still has his appetite. The doctor told my sister that he may feel the ramifications of the radiation in about 2 weeks but we're praying that this is the worst of it. He feels a little nauseous at times but they've given him medication to help him with that too. Poor thing, his countertop has SO many bottles of medication but as long as it helps him, we're okay with that. He had his first CBC (complete blood count) test yesterday so we're hoping for great results. He's staying strong and that's what we like to see. Please keep the prayers up - don't ever stop! Thanks everyone.
Henry's brother who has been here visiting from Guatemala and has been taking him to his radiation treatments is going back home this Sunday so we'll all need to take charge of a day to take him for the remainder of his treatments. After all, that's what family is for. I just hope we get nothing but good results at the end of his radiation treatments - that the tumor has NOT grown back and that in fact, there is no sign of it at all. Never stop believing!
Thank you to each of my friends who have kept Henry and our family in their prayers. I am blessed to have a lot of amazing friends.
I hope everyone had a relaxing long weekend. I have a wedding on Sunday to stay tuned for pictures of that next week!
