Since work was done for the most part on Tuesday and I had a 6:30pm flight on Wednesday, I managed to sneak away for a little while to go on a very important mission. My sister had asked me to go find a church where she had submitted my nephew's name to be apart of their "Book of Life." When she had given me the address a couple months back, I noticed that it seemed to be very close to our NY showroom. But it wasn't until I trekked down the elevator 23 floors and stepped out on Broadway that I found HOW close it truly was to me. I never noticed the church there. It was about 20 steps away from me! The coincidence was truly amazing!
It's a beautiful church. I was suddenly overwhelmed by peace and serenity when I stepped through the doorway. I looked around for a bit and couldn't find what I was looking for so I went into the office and asked the nice woman where I could possibly find their "Book of Life." She led me to the casing, where it was locked and told me I could take the books and look for my nephew's name in her office.
It didn't take me very long before I found it. His name...his beautiful name found in the Book of Life. It was a bittersweet moment. I didn't want his name to be a part of that book but there it was. I thanked the woman for allowing me to find what I was looking for, helped her lock the two Books back and left her behind. I said a few prayers and was on my way.
It was meant to be for me to go there and find his name. I was just happy I was able to do this. Yesterday was 6 months since he earned his angel wings. The time has flown by but there hasn't been one day that I haven't thought of him.
I fly to NYC again on Sunday. I can't wait until I'm back since I know ths upcoming week is going to be a tough one. Have a great weekend everyone!
