SIX YEARS AGO TODAY

The world changed forever. I can still remember exactly what I was doing when I first heard the news. The company I was working for at the time let us go home early that day and before I knew it, I was consumed in news channel after news channel. My eyes were glued to the TV for more than 10 hours. I was in disbelief that our powerful country had been attacked in a moment of weakness. This past January, I had the opportunity to visit Ground Zero and although five years had passed, it felt like it had just happened. The feeling you get when you're standing there is indescribable. I am very fortunate to say that I didn't lose anyone close to me on this day but our country itself suffered a huge loss.

To all the families that lost a loved one on September 11, 2001: I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you every day...but especially today.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

A memorial for the "Tenhouse" firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11. They were some of the first to arrive at the sight.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Thank you for posting this today! A 9/11, or any day for that matter, shouldn't go by where we don't remember those affected by this tragedy!
