WEEKEND REVIEW

Starting with Thursday:

Thursday

- Had dinner with my girlfriend Alyssa (Happy Birthday today Alyssa!!!). I picked her up and we went to George's Greek Cafe in Belmont Shores. Although frequenting 2nd street quite often, I had never been to this place before. It was a nice change of pace and quite delicious! I really enjoyed it. After dinner, we walked across the street and indulged in the yummy goodness that is Pinkberry.

Friday

- Stopped by my parents' house to say "hello"

- Went home and cleaned. As my husband would say: I was a little "worker bee" that night

Saturday

- worked out in the morning (woo-hoo!)

- celebrated my nephew's 8th birthday (he was born on 9/9/99)

Henry has started driving again! Not long distances but it's a huge accomplishment. He's come a long way.

Doctor also okayed for him to have a beer. It was nice seeing him able to be like his old self again.

The birthday party was a lot of fun. It was a Simpsons themed party. There was a water slide, not 1, not 2, but 3 pinatas. Andrew had a great time.

Sunday

- Went to church in the morning

- Picked up my mom and we went to to the cemetary together; after that, I drove her to Macy's since she was hoping to find a new pair of shoes for a wedding she's going to on Friday night. She scored big time...found cute clearance shoes for $14.70!!! Go mom!

- Had dinner with friends at Crustacean restaurant to celebrate my girlfriend Gema's 31st birthday. Gema and I go way back...back to the days when we used to work at Wet Seal together! I was 16! We had a fabulous time. The food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect. I loved the decor of the restaurant. It was a great night. Happy Birthday Gema!!! Love you!

I had the house salad and the Kung Pao chicken. My husband had the filet of sole and we shared the "Music Box" for dessert. Everything was amazing!
