- Rushed off to a surprise birthday party for our friend Rob, being hosted by his fabulous wife, Alyssa. It was held at the very chic Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach. Rob was so surprised and we all had a great time! It was especially nice catching up with some college friends, particularly Melanie and her husband Armen and Kristi and her husband Brent. Lovely company throughout! Alyssa did such a wonderful job on the soiree, from the cupcake bar to the cookie souveniers.
- I especially loved the game we played that night. Everyone had a sticker put on their back of a famous band/musician. In order to guess who you were, you had to ask questions. It was so clever and fun! I wasn't very good at the game :( but I thought it was such a cute idea! My husband was Justin Timberlake...heehee!
- After the party, a friend of ours joined us for some post-party food at In-N-Out. SOOO GOOD!
Saturday
- Ran some errands in the morning
- Went to celebrate our friend's little girl's 1st birthday! Favorite part of the day...when she actually took her FIRST STEPS in front of all of us there! And I (little 'ole ME!) captured it on camera!
- After little Charlize blew out her first birthday candle, we went to go celebrate my brother-in-law Hector's birthday. (Birthdays galore!) I brought desserts over.
Sunday
- Our usual morning routine: church at 10:30, then went to the cemetary
- Took a nap so I'd be very awake for my evening plans....JT! It was the second time I went. I went to his show when he started his tour in January and I loved it so much, I decided to go a second time. My sister-in-law snapped all the pictures and I have to wait to receive them so I will grace you all with his "beautifulness" as soon as I get those pictures. But our seats were awesome and the show was amazing! I had a great time! I was sure paying for it this morning when I could've used at least 4 more hours of sleep but it was all worth it.
Unfortunately, I may be coming down with something. I have a sore throat, 2 aching ears and the chills. EW. I hate this. I haven't gotten sick with a bad cold/flu in at least 3 years (lucky, I know!) so this royally sucks. Please pray I feel better since every time I do get sick with the flu, I'm practically on my death bed for weeks!
Speaking of prayers, our Henry has another routine MRI on Wednesday of this week. I ask that you please pray for good results.

Oh, and regarding your blog post title formatting, have you tried clicking on the word "title" to see if that activates the title field? I was having issues a while back but that seemed to have worked for me.

Leeney, you were a busy little photographer last weekend! Your photos of Rob's party rock! Thank you so much!! Also, Charlize...she's so adorable! I'm so bummed I missed her first steps! I bet Marisa was so excited! Freakin' just b/c flowers...G-man is so good :) Love ya and thanks for coming on Friday! Prayers for Henry!
