'TIS THE SEASON

‘Tis the season for holiday surprises! I signed for a Fed Ex envelope yesterday. Since I wasn’t expecting anything from anyone, I was intrigued. I was incredibly surprised to see I had received a generous Burke Williams gift certificate from one of my accounts! I’ve been pretty stressed at work lately so it couldn’t have come at a better time. Merry Christmas to me!!!

I’ve been feeling a little down lately…about my job, about not being able to buy a house yet…about a lot of things. But I’m hoping that the New Year will bring a ray of light to my outlook.

Yeah on the gift card to Burke Williams - that place is incredible! Leeney, don't stress about not being able to buy a house right now. I don't know many couples our age who can immediately buy a house...most people I know buy a condo or townhome and then eventually buy a house...You guys are on the fast track if you're even able to consider buying a house. It's what you and Gerric make of it, not what everyone else is doing or able to do. Whatever you end up with will be a blessing - small, large, new, fixer-upper...look at the positive side - at least ya'll can even consider the option of buying something :) xoxo!!!

Ahhhh, so jealz of the GC!!! I wish I had fabu clients like that.

Ya know, the LA area can be so super frustrating to young couples who are starting out (due to prices). It's almost like you feel like you can never make enough money. However, I have faith that you will be able to find something you and Gerric like and will be happy. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :)

All I can say is HANG IN THERE!! I was in such a similar position to you... we were trying so hard to buy a house but it just wasn't happening... I was getting so down about it but I knew we had to keep trying and just keep looking for one... I was also pretty down about my job- just never wrote much about it on my site- but I'm so much happier that I've finished up and will be starting a new one. I know it's easier said than done, but just imagine how great it'll be when you finally have your own home.. and hopefully that will motivate you to stay positive! xoxoxo

That GC is awesome!!! And I hear ya about the housing thing. I go back and forth about being frustrated then happy about our little condo. I'd love more space to call our own.
