HOLIDAY MADNESS...

...has taken over me! I have so much to catch up on! I have been missing in action since I got back from Panama. Instead of writing a 10 page post on everything I’ve been up to, I figured I’d try to make it as short and sweet as possible.

- My mom went to Mexico in November for 2 weeks to visit her sisters and her mom. I always hate it when she leaves. I miss her too much.

- Henry went to Guatemala to visit his ailing father. He’s been in and out of the hospital for some time now. He’s still not at his best so please say a prayer that he gets well very soon.

- I had the pleasure of meeting up with two beautiful ladies and their beautiful babies for brunch at Le Pain Quotidien in Manhattan Beach. The food was delicious and the company was perfect. It was a lovely time. I love being surrounded by babies. These little girls are too precious for words. (Nanette has recently started posting pictures of her baby girl so I will hope that posting this one is okay :)

- Celebrated Kay’s birthday at Hollywood Park. It’s become a tradition for the past few years. We had a great time. I think Raffy had a great time too. :)

- Had Thanksgiving lunch at my father-in-law’s house and dinner at my brother’s house. It was a lovely day filled with lots of food, family and friends. I have so much to be thankful for and this was a day where I tried to truly take in all that I have in my life.

- Watched the Pacquiao/De La hoya fight. I am NOT a fan of De La Hoya - I think he’s arrogant and cocky but how often does a Mexican (me) fight a Filipino (my husband)?!? For this reason only, I was rooting for De la Hoya and naturally, my husband was rooting for Pacquiao. We made a friendly bet and said that whoever lost would make the other person breakfast in bed of their choice on a Saturday morning. We all know who won that bet. Ugh – details to come on that eventually.

- Attended my girlfriend Stefani’s baby shower. She and her husband are expecting their first baby….little Langston. I am so excited for them. Stefani is so tall and thin that she is literally a stick with a baby bump. She looks adorable!

- And to add to the baby list, on December 8th, my best friend Coral and her husband welcomed baby Lucas into their lives. It’s also their first baby and I couldn’t be happier for them. I only have a picture of him that she sent me in a text but already I can tell he’s going to be a heartbreaker. I wish I could meet him in person. I’m just going to have to plan a trip there so he could meet his auntie Jolene soon!

- Christmas Central has hit our home. I have had so much fun decorating for the holidays. I love it. We had a great time choosing our first Christmas tree for our house. We have a couple of get-togethers we are hosting so I’m excited to have our place ready for the Holiday season. Pictures to come soon.

- Adam’s 1st birthday is coming up on the 21st. I can’t believe he’s going to be 1. He has already taken his first steps – he’s such a blessing and so darn cute! He LOVES the camera! Is this proof enough?!? All you have to do is point the camera at him and he smiles! It's too cute!

This weekend will be yet, another busy one. Tomorrow morning I am volunteering, along with my niece, to feed the hungry. I know it will be a good experience as it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Tomorrow night my husband and I have a holiday party to attend and on Sunday, we are having my husband’s extended family come over for lunch. Most of them have never seen our house so we’re excited to finally host something for family since we moved in. Now we need to find a date for my family.

That’s about it in a nutshell. Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays! Whew! Feels good to be caught up!
