THE FIRST FEW DAYS OF 2009

Happy New Year! In trying to stay true to New Years resolution # 2, here I am! The first days of 2009 have been great. We spent New Years Eve at my sister-in-law's house with my husband's family. The best part? My family was there too! It was a first for us and I truly enjoyed it. My parents rang in the new year at home by themselves. Well actually, they didn't ring it in since they always fall asleep before midnight but my sisters and their families and my brother decided to spend it together with us. It was a mellow evening. We played Guesstures and rang in the New Year with champagne and cider. I'm excited for the New Year since I feel in my heart that it will be an amazing one for everyone.

Yesterday was the first time I took Lulu for a spin since we moved to our new house. The weather was a bit brisk but it felt great. We just rode around the neighborhood for a bit - I can't wait to do it again. Last night, we finally saw The Holiday. We had it recorded on our DVR. I've been wanted to see that movie since it came out in theaters. My husband and I enjoyed it...I even cried in a scene. But then again, I cry at everything.

Today after church, we decided to go to Disneyland for a bit since it was the last day the Christmas decorations were going to be up. BIG mistake. The park was insanely crowded. We did enjoy some ice cream and Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters (that was only a 20 minute wait) before we left. In fact, I got my highest score so it was worth the wait!

Here I am with my dark hair. New year = new hair. I just got rid of my highlights until the Summer. I like it and so does my husband. :)

I'll be on a bit of a blogging hiatus this week since I leave on a business trip to New York. I am bracing myself for the cold weather. I don't do very well in cold weather so I already can't wait to be home. Until the next time...
